It adds factory-like quietness, exceptional gear-selection accuracy, adjustable centring springs, a mechanically retained main pivot, new pivot bush and new shift boot.
Will this short shifter fit my Skyline?
- Our shifter suits ALL 5 speed R32, R33 or R34 Skylines. Including RWD, AWD, RB20, RB25 and GTR models.
Does it fit the R34 GT-R?
- No. The R34 GT-R uses a 6-speed transmission. Our Skyline short shifter suits the 5-speed transmissions only.
Can I use my factory Nissan gear knob?
- Yes. Our shifter uses the factory Nissan M10 x 1.25 thread, so you can reuse your original gear knob. Nismo and aftermarket M10 x 1.25 gear knobs will also fit.
What do the adjustable centring springs actually do?
- The centring springs control how strongly the shifter returns towards the 3rd/4th gear position. Increasing the spring force gives the H-pattern a more defined feel and makes the 2nd-to-3rd shift more intuitive. The Premium lets you fine tune the centring force from 15% to 255% stronger than stock to suit your preference.
Do I need a shifter plate or housing?
No. Our Premium Short Shifter fits directly to your factory Nissan shifter plate, so there’s nothing else you need to buy. If your original plate is missing, damaged or worn, we also offer new OEM Nissan shifter plates for RB20 transmissions and CUBE Speed billet shifter plates for RB25 transmissions.
